Little Birdy


Sisters are doing it for them selves. Luke Steel’s (Sleepy Jackson / Empire of the Sun) little sister a.ka. Little Birdy put on an amazing performance for those lucky enough to attend the Priceless Music event held at the Old Melbourne Goal. To accommodate for the narrow and tight venue Megadeck used their modular stages to extend the existing stage therefore providing all the room the performance required.

Deadly Awards 2009

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2009 Deadly Awards held at the iconic Sydney Opera House. This year marked the 15th annual running of the awards with each year bigger and better than the last. As per usual Megadeck was involved with the performance stage which was the centre piece of the concert hall and was illuminated to great effect.

Megadeth


It was only a matter of time before Megadeck and Megadeth crossed paths. The heavy metal dream bill of Megadeth and Slayer hit Australian shores last week beginning in Brisbane and making their way to Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion. Serious rockers need serious drum risers and Megadeck supplied risers for both big acts (and lived to tell the tale)

Wolfmother

Reformed and revamped, Wolfmother take तो the stage for Top 40 Live at MCM in the Fox Studio’s Entertainment Quarter. Dock Dogs Australia

Twister


Twister anyone? Held by MTV, assisted by Megadeck and sponsored by Davenport, comes the new range of underwear sportingly showcased by Stephanie Rice and Eamon Sullivan at Bondi Beach. Jewish Synagogue


Built to go anywhere, the Megadeck staging system is applied here to sit over the fixed seating of the Jewish synagogue in Bondi Junction. Constructed on the behalf of Media Music, the Megadeck team used combinations of 1.8m stage pieces to comfortably deck out the entire area and provide additional wing pieces for up close and personal performances

Australia's Ultimate Drummers Weekend


DrumTek Australia in conjunction with Megadeck staging has put on the 17th annual Australia’s Ultimate Drummers Weekend. Global drumming ambassador Dom Famularo and Mars Volta’s Thomas Pridgen attended the largest drumming event in the southern hemisphere and to make the event run seamlessly, multiple Megadeck drum risers were supplied for drummers to set up each kit and wheel in out and off for each performance.

Mercedes-Benz AMG Launch


The launch of the new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Saloon in Melbourne required an impressive presentation stage and Megadeck was there to make it possible. With the AMG gently driven on top of the Megadeck stages with our custom made ramps, the acrylic and opal stage was finished off with some creatively placed lighting to illuminate the show piece car.

Hillsong Conference 09


With an estimated 20,000 people in attendance for this years Hillsong 09 conference at ACER Arena, the spectacular event required a spectacular stage. The cork screw like stage was a mixture of Megadeck stage pieces and custom made sections to create an overall seamless and fluid stage. Comprised of many layers the stage housed over 100 choir members, hydraulic lifters for teams of drummers to use, monitor lips and multiple entry and exist points. The week long event was loved by all and was a major success.

Bruno Premier


Stirring up attention and controversy where ever he goes Sacha Baron Cohen a.k.a Bruno rode into Market street on horseback for the Australian premier of his new movie. i-Phone Launch

videoSet in Circular Quay, Megadeck helped Apple launch their new i-Phone by setting up a speaker stage and several demonstration stages in the Optus Happy Place. A huge inflatable cube housed all of Apples new products and attracted hundreds of curious passers by throughout the day.

Spread across four stages, this year’s jazz and blues festival held in Darling Harbour was one of the most successful to date. Choir Riser

Emmanuel College in Melbourne recently purchased their new choir riser from Megadeck Staging Systems and by doing so secured themselves the strongest stage nationwide. My Place


Shot by Little Leaf Productions in Newtown’s St. Stephens church grounds for the ABC’s My Place, the award winning novel by Nadia Wheatley and Donna Rawlins is a 13 part series that is brought to life by producer Penny Chapman. To assist with on site filming the Megadeck camera risers were brought into action to overcome tricky filming conditions and provide a level surface for camera men.

The renowned King’s School was the venue chosen to host this year’s National Choral School. Always a favorite with fashion shows, the Megadeck clear acrylic catwalk has unlimited lighting options as can be seen here with the use of LED lights attached to the underbelly of the Megadeck Ali stage. Set up at Sydney’s exclusive ‘The Loft’, this was the choice venue for Fox 8’s 2nd installment of Australia’s Next Top Model.

Samsung Mobile


Launching their new phone, Samsung placed 20 mobile phones in huge blocks of ice for the general public to thaw out with their bare hands and claim their chilly free prize. Mammoth Ice in conjunction with Megadeck placed the 3 ton ice sculptor on a reinforced steel Megadeck….and waited and waited, until the patient punters dislodged all the mobile phones.

Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009


Setting the scene for success, Megadeck constructed a huge set of stages for this year’s Vodafone MTV Australian Music Video Awards held at the Convention Centre Sydney. With a massive 12m round black acrylic stage, a smaller 6m round black acrylic stage, adjoining stages and camera risers, the event stretched over 3 of the 5 halls in the Convection Centre. Performing on the night were cross Tasman comedy rockers Flight of the Concords, retro rapper Vanilla Ice and U.S rock giants, The Killers.

The Biggest Loser 2009


With another season completed, another fantastic stage was required to make the Biggest Loser grand final extra special. Megadeck provided ply and acrylic stages to help create the great closing spectacular for Freemantle media and channel 10.

Cat Walk-Fashion Parade


The Artist-Group have chosen to use the Megadeck staging system for their red cat-walk which was designed to show off this winters latest fashion, sponsored by AMP. Catwalks come in many different shapes and sizes and this custom made piece is no exception. Megadeck are the catwalk specialists with over a decade of experience in helping the fashion industry put on spectacular parades, indoors/outdoors and everywhere in between.

Q-Dance


Kicking off proceedings in France, Q-Dance celebrates the 10th installment of its hard hitting dance music festivals with international acts gracing the stage at Sydney’s Horden Pavilion with DJ’s enjoying the freedom of Megadeck’s curved DJ decks. The clutter free set up provides DJ’s with ample space to work there magic, using several CDJ’s and mixers simultaneously much to the delight of the ravers.

Bonnie Babes at Kirribilli House


Megadeck has kindly donated their time and services to helping out the Bonnie Babes charity event held at Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s Sydney residence, Kirribilli House. Trying to raise awareness of the high rate of miscarriage and stillbirths in Australia, Bonnie Babes invited some big names and had an auction to raise money urgently needed for medical equipment to help hospitals keep premature babies alive.

ICC Women's World Cup Cricket


Creating a VIP seating area for the ICC Women’s World Cup Cricket, Megadeck erected a bird’s eye view stage to take in all the highlights of all the hard hitting match’s held at North Sydney Oval, sadly Australia lost to New Zealand in the first game going down by 13 runs.

Guillaume Restaurant


The Guillaume restaurant at Sydney’s Opera House along with Concept Group of Companies, hosted a private party using Megadeck’s custom made stages for dances, steel decks for band and piano risers as well as for a 20 piece orchestra. The tailor made staging made the event go off without a hitch and took full advantage of the unique venue.
